Upperville, Virginia Weekend Retreat

A Neoclassical Palladian-inspired villa in Upperville, VA, gets a warm refresh. DC-based clients purchased the home as a weekend retreat, hiring Grace to decorate the almost 6,000 sqft living space. In close partnership with the clients, Grace found ways to make the house more accommodating for a family with two young children while bringing in color and texture throughout. Originally built in 1997 by esteemed architect Errol Adels, the estate underwent a complete renovation in 2017 led by JD Ireland Architectural and Interior Design in conjunction with Clites Architects, PC Architectural and Interior Design Services, and Duhring Construction.
